ANKUM, Germany, Feb. 21, 2017–California transplant Jennifer Hoffmann debuted her Florentinus V at national Grand Prix in Germany with second place on the Westfalen stallion she has trained from a youngster.

Jennifer, who competed Florentinus as a six-year-old in the World Championships for Young Horses, scored 69.845 per cent to place second behind Bianca Kasselmann on 71.744 per cent.

In a field of strong Grand Prix horses and three judges, she said, “we are so excited about what our future holds for us.”

Florentinus is her third Grand Prix horse.

She has competed Rubinio NRW, a 14-year-old Westfalen stallion, at Grand Prix for almost three years, including as a member of the United States team in the Nations Cup in Odense, Denmark in May 2016.

Jennifer rode Farinelli at CDI Grand Prix in the Netherlands and Britain in 2014-15. The Westfalen gelding is now 18 years old.
