SAN MIGUEL ALLENDE, Mexico, Dec. 5, 2016–Bernadette Pujals dominated the Big and Small Tours at the Mexican championships in the first CDI in the homeland of the Olympic rider in more than two years.
A record number of 100 entries was announced by the Mexican Equestrian Federation for the CDI2* and championships at Riding Club Otomí.
Bernadette, who competes mostly in Europe, rode her summer Olympic mount Heslegaards Rolex to win the Grand Prix on 66.300 per cent and the Freestyle on 69.917 per cent.
On Baron de Ley W, Bernadette scored 71.404 in Prix St. Georges and 71.125 in Intermediate 1 Freestyle.
The 2008 and 2016 Olympic and 1998 and 2006 World Games rider last competed in Mexico in mid-2014. She also rode Rolex at two Pan American Games, at Small Tour in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2011 and at Big Tour in Toronto in 2015.
