Arlene “Tuny” Page & Woodstock Win Tryon CDI3* Grand Prix

MILL SPRING, North Carolina, Sept. 9, 2016–Arlene “Tuny” Page and Woodstock won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in their first competition since returning from Europe where the pair helped the United States capture the Nations Cup series title.

“Tuny” of Wellington, Florida and the 13-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.660 per cent for the win in only the second CDI at the Tryon International Equestrian Center that is bidding to host the 2018 World Equestrian Games.

Tuny and Woodstock were on the American teams at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington  that kicked off the inaugural official Nations Cup series and at the final event for the year at the World Equestrian Festival CDIO in Aachen, Germany that clinched the title.

Michael Barisone of Long Valley, New Jersey, who coached Allison Brock on Rosevelt on the team that won bronze at the Rio Olympics, rode Wyatt Star to second place on 64.220 per cent. Nora Batchelder of Ocala, Florida on Bahai was third on 61.340 per cent in the pair’s first year at CDI Grand Prix.
