WERRIBEE, Australia, June 11, 2016–Heath Ryan rode Utopian Cardinal to the second career victory for his homebred stallion in the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday.

Heath and the 12-year-old son of his Regardez Moi scored 67.780 per cent for the win in the first Asia/Pacific league event in the global series leading to the final in Omaha, Nebraska next March.

Pauline Carnovale on Urestan placed second on 65.060 per cent and Deon Stokes on Royal Oak II third on 64.400 per cent.

The Freestyle is scheduled for Sunday.

The Asia/Pacific League is one of only four geographic divisions–Central Europe, Western Europe and North America are the others–that stages a league final to decide on the single combination to be awarded a start in the final.
