Carl Hester & Nip Tuck Win Compiègne CDI3* Grand Prix, 3rd on Wanadoo–Full Results

COMPIÈGNE, France, May 19, 2016–Carl Hester and Nip Tuck, his top Olympic prospect for Great Britain, won the CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday and placed third on Wanadoo with Sweden’s Patrik Kittel on Delaunay sandwiched in second.

In the first European outing for The Dutta Corp. American team prospects, Arlene “Tuny” Page on Woodstock finished on 68.380 per cent in 10th place with Shelly Francis on Danilo on 66.220 per cent for 21st.

Carl Hester, the highest ranked British rider, on Nip Tuck, a 12-year-old KWPN gelding, scored 74.160 per cent for the win, the third in five starts this year as the pair prepare for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in August.

Patrik Kitttel, looking to go to his third Olympics for Sweden, rode Delaunay, a 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding, to second on 72.780 per cent. Carl and Wanadoo were third on 72.020 per cent.

Four American pairs are scheduled to start Saturday in the CDIO5* Nations Cup, the third in the first official year of the trans-Atlantic series. They are:

–Laura Graves, 28 years old of Plymouth, Florida and Verdades, her 14-year-old KWPN gelding, ranked 13th in the world. The duo competed on the U.S. World Games team in 2014, the 2015 World Cup Final, team gold and individual silver medalists at the 2015 Pan American Games and U.S. Grand Prix champion for 2015;
–Kasey Perry Glass, 28 years old of Wellington, Florida and Dublet, 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding ranked 29th in the world;

–Allison Brock, 36, of Wellington, Florida and Rosevelt, 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion ranked 40th in the world, and

–Shelly Francis, 57, of Loxahatchee, Florida and Doktor, 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding, No. 50 in the world. Shelly was on the U.S. team at the 1998 World Games.
