LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Mar. 15, 2016–Bidding opened Tuesday for cities to host the 2019 European Championships of and the World Cup Finals from 2019 through 2021.

The FEI, International Equestrian Federation, announced it is seeking bids for the 2019 European for one or all of the disciplines of dressage, jumping, para dressage, eventing driving, endurance, vaulting and reining.

Cities planning to bid for the World Cup Finals in dressage, jumping, driving and vaulting were encouraged by the FEI to host all four disciplines together.

Allocation of the championships will be made at the FEI Bureau meeting during the FEI General Assembly in November 2016.

Deadlines for bid application and questionnaire is May 15.

Other deadlines:
June 15, 2016: Host Agreement provided to all candidates;
Oct. 15: Deadline for submission of signed Host Agreement, and
November: Decision by the FEI Bureau and announcement of the host organizer of the 2019 European Championships and World Cup Finals 2019 through 2021.

The 2017 World Cup Finals of dressage and jumping will be held in Omaha, Nebraska and in 2018 in Paris.

The 2017 European Championships of dressage, jumping, para dressage and driving will be in Gothenburg, Sweden.
