WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 1, 2016–Kasey Perry-Glass and Dublet moved back into the top four American Olympic team prospects on the strength of their personal best performances in last week’s World Cup event at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival.

Kasey and the 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding rank behind Laura Graves on Verdades at the top of the U.S. standings with Steffen Peters on Rosamunde and Legolas second and third, respectively in the latest standings released Tuesday.

The 28-year-old rider who moved to Wellington from California is seeking to become one of eight combinations to go to Europe after the winter circuit to compete in shows to decide the four riders and horses selected for the team for Rio de Janeiro.

Shelly Francis of neighboring Loxahatchee filled the fifth and sixth places on Doktor and Danilo with Arlene Page on Woodstock and Allison Brock on Rosevelt rounding out the top eight spots.

“I never thought that we would be where we are after just our third show at Grand Prix,” Kasey told dressage-news after the pair placed second in the field of 50 starting combinations in the World Cup Grand Prix and followed up with second place in the Special.

“The sky’s the limit,” she laughed. “It’s so cool, I’m so happy I want to cry.”
