MECHELEN, Belgium, Sec. 28, 2015–Patrick van der Meer of the Netherlands on Zippo narrowly won the CDI5* Grand Prix Special Monday over the Ukraine’s Inna Logutenkova on Don Gregorious.

Patrick and the 11-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.569 per cent for the first victory for the pair since May, 2014.

Inna and the 13-year-old Oldenburg stallion that she is campaigning for an individual place at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next summer placed second on 70.431 per cent.

Belgium’s Mario van Orshaegen on Wilco V was third on 68.302 per cent.
