Comments Off on Beatrice Buchwald & Weihegold Win Salzburg CDI4* Special, 4th Straight Victory
SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 4, 2015–Beatrice Buchwald and Weihegold OLD won the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Friday to post their fourth straight victory in six starts at Big Tour over the past three months.
Beatrice and the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare scored 72.667 per cent for the win a day after the assistant trainer to Isabell Werth captured the Grand Prix.
Isabell and El Santo NRW scored 70.745 per cent for second place and Henrik Lochthowe on Meggle’s Boston in third on 68.529 per cent for a German sweep of the top three places and the same order of finish as the Grand Prix.
Beatrice, 26 years old, and Weihegold began Big Tour in September after winning the Louisdor Prize German Young Horse Grand Prix Championship last year and the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal, the German championship for seven to nine-year-old dressage horses at Prix St. Georges a year earlier.
