LIER, Belgium, Nov. 6, 2015–Hans Peter Minderhoud on Zanardi held off a last-minute strong performance by Belgium’s Jeroen Devroe on Eres DL to claim the victory in the two-day CDI4* World Dressage Masters Grand Prix.

The score for Hans Peter and the and the 11-year-old KWPN stallion of 72.540 per cent posted during the first stage on Thursday was enough to hold off the charge by Jeroen and the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding awarded 72.380 per cent.

Jeroen and Eres, the last of 50 combinations to start in the Grand Prix, competed at the 2014 World Games and this year’s European Championships. The pair are highly placed in the current individual rankings to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next year.

The Netherlands’ Patrick van der Meer on Zippo was third on 71.360 per cent.
