CAPPELN, Germany, July 17, 2015–Austria’s star Olympian Victoria Max-Theurer posted a personal best score on Blind Date in winning the Dressur Cappeln International CDI4* Grand Prix Friday while Ireland’s Judy Reynolds on Vancouver K was runner-up with the highest placing in their Big Tour career so far.

With less than a month to go before the European Championships, Vici and the 13-year-old Hanoverian mare scored 75.760 per cent for the victory at the Max-Theurer family’s Gestüt Vorwerk. The previous Grand Prix best for the pair in their three-year partnership was 75.640 per cent in Austria 10 months ago.

Judy Reynolds on the 13-year-old KWPN gelding scored 71.660 per cent for second place, the highest placing so far in their 10 months competing at international Big Tour.

Germany’s Hubertus Schmidt on Sammy Deluxe were third on 71.420 per cent with Denmark’s Nathaie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein on Fabienne fourth on 70.140 per cent and Katherine Haddad-Staller of the United States on Mane Stream Hotmail fifth on 69.320 per cent.

German combinations swept the top three places in the Grand Prix qualifier for the Freestyle with Bernadette Brune on Spirit of the Age Old first on 70.060 per cent, Nadine Husenbeth on Florida second on 69.320 per cent and Hubertus Schmidt on Florenciano third on 69.060 per cent.
