MUNICH, Germany, May 16, 2015–Isabell Werth got Don Johnson back on track with a victory in the World Dressage Masters CDI5* Grand Prix Special Saturday, a day after the lowest scoring performance for the pair in four years at Grand Prix

Isabell and the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 74.902 per cent for the win over Italy’s Valentina Truppa on Fixdesign Eremo del Castegna on 71.686 per cent fellow German Carola Koppelmann on Devereaux B third on 70.569 per cent.

In the Grand Prix Friday, Isabell and Don Johnson were awarded 68.260 per cent, the lowest score ever for the pair in their Grand Prix career that began more than four years ago.

Isabell opted for the Special rather than the Freestyle to get “Johnny,” as she calls the horse, to return to form.
