VIDAUBAN, France, Mar. 15, 2015–Italy’s Valentina Truppa on Fixdesign Chablis won the World Dressage Masters CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday.after tying with the German combination of Thomas Wagner on Amoricello.
Both Valentina on the 18-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding and Thomas on Amoricello scored 74.925 per cent while Germany’s Bernadette Brune on Sprit of the Age OLD placed third. The tie was broken by collective marks.
Two other pairs, Marina Mattson of Sweden on Beckham and France’s Bernard Liegard on Star Wars, tied for fifth place on 71.950 per cent.
Seven combinations started the event. Sweden’s Patrik Kittel on Deja who won the Grand Prix Friday was eliminated when the horse was seen to have blood on her mouth.
