DORTMUND, Germany, Mar. 6, 2015–German Olympic gold medal team pair of Kristina Sprehe and Desperados FRH scored 80.760 per cent to win the Signal Iduna CDI4* Grand Prix Friday, the second time the duo have broken the 80 per cent mark at Grand Prix.

Kristina and the 14-year-old Hanoverian black stallion won over Germans Ulla Salzgeber on Herzruf’s Erbe on 76.576 per cent and Anabel Balkenhol on Dablino FRH in third on 75.436 per cent.

The result for Kristina and Desperados was the highest since the pair posted a score of 81.851 per cent at Hagen, Germany in April, 2012. The combination were selected for the German team for the London Olympics the same year and won team silver.

Only a dozen combinations in the history of the sport have achieved 80 per cent or better at Grand Prix in international competition.
