SAUMUR, France, Sept. 27, 2014–Hannah Biggs and Weltzin posted their first ever international victory when the pair from Great Britain won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday night.
Hannah and the 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion scored 73.575 per cent for their “Superman” Freestyle, the second highest Freestyle result in almost 3 1/2 years on the Big Tour. In that time, the pair have competed throughout Europe including Nations Cup teams at Aachen, Germany; Rotterdam, Netherlands and at home in Hickstead..
Germany’s Christoph Koschel on Tiesto was second on 73.250 per cent and Anders Dahl of Denmark but based in England on Wie Atlantico was third on 73.225 per cent.
The United States’ Susan Dutta of Wellington, Florida on Currency DC placed fifth on 71.550 per cent, their second highest score, while Katherine Bateson-Chandler also of Wellington on Wellnetta was sixth on 70.125 per cent.
