VIENNA, Sept. 18, 2014–Victoria Max-Theurer rode her Blind Date to a personal best score to win the Vienna Dressage Masters CDI4* Grand Prix Thursday.
The three-time Olympian for Austria scored 75.640 per cent for the dominating victory and eclipsed her previous best result of 74.880 per cent on the 12-year-old Hanoverian mare posted at her family’s Cappeln, Germany CDI4* less than two months ago.
Christian Schumach, also of Austria, on Auheim’s Picardo placed second on 68.040 per cent while Germany’s Katharina Birkenholz on Don Androsso was third on 67.000 per cent,
Vici has been riding Blind Date since June, 2012. She rode Augustin OLD, her main Big Tour mount, at last month’s World Equestrian Games placing sixth in all three Grand Prix events.
