The United States on Thursday named its team for the Nations Cup at Britain’s Dressage at Hickstead that wraps up the second pilot year of the series that spans the Atlantic.
The American team for the CDIO3* July 31-Aug. 3:
Katherine Bateson-Chandler of Wellington, Florida and Wellnetta, 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Jane Forbes Clark
Susie Dutta also of Wellington and Currency DC, 14-year Oldenburg gelding owned by Tim Dutta, Inc.
Brian Hafner of Penngrove, California and Lombardo LHF, 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding owned by him and Rebecca Hafner
Lisa Wilcox of Loxahatchee, Florida and Denzello, 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding owned by Betty Wells.
Hickstead is the last of the 2014 International Equestrian Federation (FEI) series that began at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellngton last winter, moved to Vidauban, France; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Kristiansand, Norway, and Aachen, Germany last week.
The series was launched as a pilot in 2013 and extended for 2014.
