PERL-BORG, Germany, June 27, 2014–Harmony’s Don Noblesse won the Prix St. Georges Special Friday to move to the qualifier and a chance for the seven-year-old stallion owned by Harmony Sporthorses of the United States to compete in the year-end Nürnberger Burg-Pokal final for developing horses.

Ridden by Great Britain’s Susan Pape, the black Hanoverian stallion based at the Pape stallion station at Hemmoor, Germany, scored 73.146 per cent for the victory in the opening class and now moves to the qualifier on Saturday. Germany’s Victoria Michalke on Novia was second on 69.073 per cent and fellow German Michael Klimke on Fineliner was third on 68.415 per cent.

The Nürnberger Burg-Pokal is a national competition but is perhaps the world’s most prestigious series for horses aged seven to nine years with 16 qualifying events throughout the year in Germany and for the first time extended to Austria in 2014 leading to the final at Frankfurt the week before Christmas.

Don Noblesse (Dancier x Don Davidoff) was bought by Harmony Sporthorses of Kiowa, Colorado in December, 2012 for €1,220,000 (US$1,570,000) to join other Harmony stallions at Ingo and Susan Pape’s German training and breeding facility.
