BIARRITZ, France, Oct. 10, 2015–Sergio Martin Palos and Altaneiro made it two for two in winning the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday a day after capturing the Grand Prix in only the second international Big Tour competition for the Spanish pair.
Sergio and the 10-year-old stallion scored 71.196 per cent for the victory over two Portuguese combinations–Maria Caetano on Coroado in second on 67.529 per cent and Manuel Veiga on Ben Hur da Broa third on 67.451 per cent.
This was the first competition outside their homeland for Sergio and the Portuguese-bred Altaneiro by Altivo that made their CDI debut at Madrid in May, placing 15th in the Grand Prix and eighth in the Special.
