Lars Petersen and Mariett won the Grand Prix Special at the Danish Championships Saturday, enhancing their claim for a place on his nation’s team at the World Equestrian Games in August, the first for the Florida-based rider since the 1998 WEG in Rome.

Lone Bang Larsen and Fitou L placed second on 74.020 per cent with Agnete Kirk Thinggaard on Jojo AZ third 72.529 per cent and Mikala Münter Gundersen and My Lady, also based in Florida, in fourth on 72.451 per cent.
