MUNICH, Germant, June 1, 2014–Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfvén and Don Auriello on Sunday won their second straight World Dressage Masters Grand Prix Freestyle at this show and with a score that was the highest outside of her homeland of Sweden.

The six-time Swedish Olympian and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 84.150 per cent that was their second best to 84.700 per cent awarded at Stockholm 18 months ago.

Germany’s Isabell Werth and El Santo NRW placed second on 81.000 per cent while compatriot Ulla Salgeber and Herzruf’s Erbe were third on 78.100 per cent.

The Swedish combination are ranked No. 4 in the world–the highest ever for the rider on any horse–and since beginning their Grand Prix career in Florida in the winter of 2011 have logged 33 victories in 68 starts, 16 of the wins in Florida and the rest throughout Europe.

Matthias Alexander Rath and Es Fangar’s Samba King, an eight-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding (Sandro King x Lancet) won the qualifier for the year-end Nürnberger Burgpokal for Prix St. Georges horses seven to nine years old with a score of 72.805 per cent. The horse was competed by Franziska, Matthias’s wife, earlier this year.

Helen Langehanenberg and Diamigo OLD, a seven-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Dimaggio x Freudenprinz) she competed in the World Young Horse Championships in 2013, were second on 72.268 per cent. Anja Plönzke and Revolverheld NRW, eight-year-old Westfalen stallion (Rockwell  Landstreicher) placed third on 72,024 per cent.
