MUNICH, Germany, May 29, 2014–Isabell Werth rode the 10-year-old Bella Rose to a personal best result of 77.760 per cent to win the Pferd International CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday on the first anniversary of their international Big Tour career.

Isabell and the big moving Westfalen chestnut mare were placed first by all five judges, including a score of 81.400 per cent from the Sarah Pidgley of Great Britain. It was the sixth victory in seven starts for Germany’s most decorated dressage rider on the horse that she describes as having the most potential of the five Grand Prix mounts she is currently competing.

Three mares, all 10 years old, filled the top three places.

Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and Deja were second on 74.360 per cent with fellow Swede Jeanna Hogberg on Darcia third on 70.680 per cent.

Isabell, “super happy” with Thursday’s performance, has trained Bella Rose from a youngster and began their CDI Grand Prix career at this show a year ago.

Their previous best result was 76.277 per cent at the CDI4* in Perl, Germany last July.
