SAUMUR, France, May 4, 2014–Carl Hester on Dances With Wolves on Sunday repeated as winner of the CDI3* Grand Prix Special as the British partnership did in the Grand Prix two days earlier.
Carl and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Donnerschwee x Waldorf) scored 71.882 per cent for the win over a pair of French riders Anne Sophie Serre on Rossini in second with 67.608 per cent and Alexandre Ayache on Lights of Londonderry third with 67.312 per cent.
The first CDI Grand Prix for Carl and Dances With Wolves was in March 2013. The two wins at this show repeated their performance here a year ago and improved their record to nine victories in 14 starts.
