CAEN, France, Feb. 14, 2014–Individual tickets for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games go on sale on Tuesday, Mar. 4, with 200,000 places available for the championships of seven international horse sports and ara dressage in Normandy, France Aug. 23-Sept. 7.

Eighty per cent of the tickets avalable Mar. 4 are for the Olympic disciplines of dressage, jumping and eventing and, the organizers said Friday, the best places are still up for grabs.

Of the 210,000 tickets sold so far, more than half have been outside France with the United Kingdom the leading buyer with 20 per cent, the United States second with 18 per cent, Germany third at 17 per cent, Australia 15 per cent, Belgium with 13 per cent and the Netherlands with seven per cent. Twenty countries share the remaining 10 per cent.

The average cost of a ticket is €25 (US34) with prices starting at €5 ($6.85).

Tickets for dressage are €18 to €60 ($24.65-$82), jumping €30 to €80 ($41-$109) and eventing €12 to €38 ($16.40-$52).

Tickets for the jumping Final Four go on sale in late April using a draw of buyers registered online.
