DRACHTEN, Netherlands, Jan. 4, 2013–Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Romanov posted their second victory in the eight months of competing together when they won the ICNN Drachten Grand Prix Special Saturday.
Hans Peter and the 14-year-old Oldenburg stallion (Rohdiamant x Grundstein II) scored 71.529 per cent for the victory over Denmark’s Anne van Olst and Zidhane on 68.902 per cent and Diederik van Silfhout of the Netherlands and Arlando N H in third on 68.372 per cent.
Hans Peter took over the ride on Romanov from Edward Gal last spring and was on the Dutch team at the European Championships in Herning, Denmark in August. The sole top placing before Saturday was at Aachen, Germany’s World Equestrian Festival last June.
