STOCKHOLM, Nov. 30, 2013–Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén and Don Auriello posted their second highest Grand Prix score of 79.277 per cent to win the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday in their last show in Europe this winter before heading to Florida where the pair began their Big Tour career three years ago.

Tinne and the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Don Davidoff x White Star) put up their highest score since their personal best of 79.553 per cent at this same show exacty a year ago.

The Dutch combinations of Hans Peter Minderhoud on Glock’s Romanov and Edward Gal and Glock’s Voice placed second on 75.319 per cent and third on 74.574 per cent, respectively. The result was a personal best for Hans Peter who tok over the ride on Romanov in May and competed the Oldenburg stallion for the Netherlands at the European Championships in August.

Germany’s Jssica von Bredow-Werndl and Unee BB also posted a personal best of 74.149 per cent to place fourth. Their previous best Grand Prix result was 71.489 per cent at Aachen, Germany in June.

The Freestyle in the third of eight Western European League competitions will be held Sunday. Tinne is in third place on the WEL rankings and could move to the top with a high finish in the Freestyle.
