ESTES PARK, Colorado, Aug. 18–Emily Wagner and her homebred Wakeup won the Intermediaire I at Paragon Dressage CDI3* Saturday after a second place in the Prix St. Georges a day earlier in only their second CDI.
The black stallion that Emily competed successfully in American young horse championships and is now eight years old scored 69.789 per cent.
Emily of La Cygne, Kansas and the American Warmblood (Wagnis x Macho) turned the tables in the small your after placing second in the Prix St. Georges to Brian Hafner of Petaluma, California and California Chablis.
Brian and California Chablis placed second in the Intermediaire on 68.447 per cent. Heather Oleson of Eagle, Idaho was third with Victor on 66.500 per cent and fourth on Charismatique with 64.579 per cent.
The only previous CDI that Emily and Wakeup competed in was a 1* at Lexington, Kentucky in May this year.
