Applications are now being sought for the Technical Advisor/Chef d’Equipe of the United States Dressage Team for the next four years, and the U.S. Equestrian Federation on Thursday issued a job description that includes living in America.
The deadline for applications is March 15.
The single post replaces the two positions that were filled by Anne Gribbons as Technhical Advisor and Eva Salomon as Chef d’Equipe. Both jobs are vacant as Anne and Eva resigned in recent months.
Among the requirements is to, “Coordinate and support athlete/horse combinations, in conjunction with their personal trainer and support staff, for international competitions,” a change of emphasis that grew from a dressage summit following the Olympic Games in London last sumer.
The job description was issued after the appointment of a search committee with Eric Straus as chairman and including Janet Foy, Catherine Haddad-Staller, Susan Dutta, Anne Kursinski and David O’Connor. Eric Straus led the search for new technical advisors for jumping and eventing.
The job description is available at: http://www.usef.org/documents/highPerformance/dressage/2013DRTA_ChefJobDescription.pdf.
