WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 6–Ragtime, an Oldenburg gelding, was ridden by Kevin Kohmann of Germany to win the Spy Coast Farm Young Horse Show Series Final dressage test for four-year-olds Sunday.

Ragtime (Rosenthal x Clintino) is owned by Judy McGaughan whose family has been involved in dressage and eventing for many years and is based at Clarksburg, Maryland and Wellington, Florida.

Ragtime was awarded 78.5 per cent to capture the Spy Coast Farm’s inaugural series final that was staged at the Global Dressage Festival’s Van Kampen covered arena.

Happenstance, an Oldenburg mare (Diamond Hit x Hohenstein) owned by Mary Blanford of Alpharetta, Georgia, was second on 77.1 per cent with Don Supremo, a Hanoverian gelding (Don Henrico x Walkenstein II) owned by Bianca Berktold of Loxahatchee, Florida on 73.5 per cent.

Happenstance won the suitability class for four-year-olds on a score of 8.11 with Iago JSF (Acodetto x Balta’Czar) owned by Jump Start Farm of Lexington, Kentucky, second on 7.40 and Carolina, an Oldenburg mare ((Don Larino x Santander) owned by Gaye Scarpa of Wellington was third on 7.36.
