
SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 8–Victoria Max-Theurer made it three victories in three starts at the Pappas Amadeus Horse Indoors CDI5* when the 27-year-old rode Blind Date to win the Grand Prix Special Saturday.
Austria’s top dressage star and Blind Date, a 10-year-old Hanoverian mare (Breitling W x Donnice x Donnerhall) scored 73.111 per cent with German Olympic rider Dorothee Scheider on TSF Kaiserkult second on 71.533 per cent and the Netherlands’ Stehanie Peters on Unlimited third on 70.467 per cent.
Vici earlier won the Grand Prix qualifier for the Special on Blind Date and took the Grand Prix qualifier for the Freestyle aboard Eichendorff.
In the first appearance at Salzburg in five years, the multi Olympian was competing Blind Date in only their fourth CDI since taking over the ride this summer.
Of two U.S. riders, Dennis Callin and D’accord placed seventh on 65.244 per cent and Susan Dutta and Currency DC were eighth on 62.956 per cent.
