BURBANK, California, Oct. 5–Kathleen Raine and Breanna won the Sherry de Leon Memorial Trophy for Grand Prix at the 45th anniversary California Dressage Society Championshipsto Friday.
Kathleen of Murrietta and Breanna scored 68.670 per cent in the championships that were held in conjunction with the CDS Young Horse Futurity, the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 7 Dressage Championships and the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championships West Coast Series Final.
Louise Koch of Westlake Village rode her San Shivago to a score of 68.882 per cent for CDS Horse of the Year Open Prix St. Georges and the Bent Roswall Memorial Trophy.
Christine Ekstrand of Santa Monica and her Concetta won theAdult Amateur division and the Global Imaging Perpetual Trophy with a score of 65.921 per cent.
Kim Elsner rode the California-bred Oldenburg mare Love Potion to a winning score of 72.927 per cent in the CDS Four-Year-Old Futurity. Mackienzie Cameron of Santa Cruz and her KWPN gelding Damien DG took the Adult Amateur Division to an overall average of 69.691 per cent.
Two-time Olympian Hilda Gurney of Moorpark and her Wintersnow won the Regional Championship Open Intermediaire II with a score of 65.000 per cent while Cathey Cadieux of Malibu and her PRE stallion Karuso II on 58.355 per cent won the Intermediaire II Adult Amateur division.
Sarah Lockman of Chino Hills and High Society RS took the Open Training Level Regional Championship with a score of 71.600 per cent while for Adult Amateurs, Mackienzie Cameron and Damian DG won with a score of 73.800 per cent.
In the Open Second Level championship, Kerstin Laudemann of Camarillo partnered with Wild Dancer for the win with 71.429 per cent. Jacquelyn Williams of Thousand Oaks and Ramsses narrowly won at Second Level for Adult Amateurs with a score of 66.369 per cent after a tie was broken with Karen Erickson of Clovis and Far Above Par.
Ruth Shirkey of Los Gatos and PEC Womanizer won the Regional Championship Open Intermediaire I on 67.250 cent while the Hilda Gurney and Wintersnow claimed their second championship of the day, the Grand Prix Freestyle, with a score of 69.250 per cent.
