PERL, Germany, Sept. 8–Ulla Salzgeber Herzruf’s Erbe, returning to competition for the first time in almost six months, swept the inaugural Peterhof Dressur Gala CDI4* with a victory in the Grand Prix Kür Saturday following a win in the Grand Prix a day earlier.

The German rider and the 13-year-old Rheinlander gelding (Herzruf x Charisma Caletto I) scored 79.550 per cent after Friday’s Grand Prix win with 74.957 per cent.

Sweden’s Patrik Kittel on Silvano, owned by Gestüt Peterhof, were second inthe Freestyle on 75.950 per cent with Finland’s Terhi Stegars and Axis TSF third on 72.425 per cent.

In Friday’s Grand Prix, Germany’s Uta Gräf and Le Noir were second on 71.809 per cent with Patrik Kittel and the Australian-owned Toy Story third on 71.234 per cent.

The only previous event for Ulla and Herzruf’s Erbe in 2012 was at Dortmund, Germany, in March.

The pair’s efforts to win a place on German championship teams in recent years have been frustrated by injuries to the horse.
