
TREFFEN, Austria, Sept. 8–The Netherland’s Olympic team bronze medalists of Edward Gal and Glock’s Undercover posted their first CDI victory with a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Saturday, while Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Tango finished third at Dressage International at the Glock Horse Performance Center.
Edward and the 11-year-old KWPN gelding (Ferro x Mimosavrouwe x Donnerhall) scored 77.617 per cent and was placed first by all five judges. It was the first competition since last month’s London Olympics where the pair were awarded 75.395 per cent in the Grand Prix, their previous best. The partnership has competed internationally only since April of this year.
Eremo del Castegno and Valentina Truppa, who rode as individuals for Italy in the London Games, were second on 73.574 per cent with Hans Peter and Tango third on 72.766 per cent.
Earlier, Hans Peter and Whitney van’t Genthof won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special with a score of 75 533 per cent, Denmark’s Bo Thomas Hoestrup and Cajo second on 69.822 per cent and Austria’s Karin Kosak and Lucy’s Day third on 69.222 per cent.
