Isabell, who was not selected for the German team for the Olympics starting in less than two weeks, rode the 11-year-old Rhinelander gelding (Ehrentusch x Rythme x Rythmus) to a score of 75.213 per cent.
Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and Watermill Scandic H.B.C. were second on 74.660 per cent in a final tuneup before heading to the London Games. Fellow Olympic team mate Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén on Favourit were third on 70.319 per cent. Tinne is riding Don Auriello in London.
In their first outdoor show of the year at Munich at the end of May, Isabell and El Santo won the CDI5* Grand Prix and came second in the freestyle. She rode Don Johnson in trying to qualify for the German team in hopes of adding to her tally of four team and one individual Olympic gold medals.
