WARENDORF, Germany, Sept. 3–Catoo, a Holsteiner ridden by Markus Suchalla of Germany, won the Bundeschampionate four-year-old final for stallions Saturday with the USA’s Jennifer Hoffmann riding Hofmarschall V to the bronze medal.
Catoo (Con Air x Caletto) and Hofmarshall, a Hanoverian owned by Gestut Letter Berg (Hotline x D’Accord) were tied for the lead at 9.0 until the horses were ridden by a “test rider” for a rideability score which dropped Hofmarschall to third place behund Catoo and Don Darius 4 ridden by Mike Habermann of Germany.
