Claartje van Andel, an equestrian journalist for a quarter century, has been named editor in chief of Horse International and L’Anee Hippique year book, both published by BCM based in The Netherlands.
Claartje has written several equestrian books and has covered four Olympic Games. She has two grown children and for several years has operated the Internet dressage results service, DressageDirect.
Eric Bruger, BCM director, said it was time for a change in leadership to apply new media technologies at the magazine that covers the three Olympic disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping and is published nine times a year.
