Tami Hoag, an avid dressage competitor under pressure to complete what could be her 15th consecutive New York Times best seller in time for the year-end holiday season, received a gift of a lemon tree to provide fresh squeezed juice for a relaxing cocktail.

Tami is a fulltime resident of Wellington, Florida, having sold her home in Malibu, California, a couple of years ago so she could be at the heart of equestrian action in the U.S.

Tami has had 14 consecutive best sellers and has more than 35 million books in print in 30 languages. She recently signed a new audiobook contract while working to meet the deadline for her latest novel AND making a movie.

In the midst of a scene, some one called “cut,” ruining the production for the day.

“It was one of those days,” Tami said. “Time to forget about it all and have a cocktail. Then I discovered I didn’t have any lemons. I didn’t feel like getting dressed to go out and get some lemons. I went on Facebook and told the tale.”

One of her friends offered her a lemon tree so she wouldn’t have to face the dilemma again.

Despite the deadline pressures, Tami said she still gets to ride four times a week.
