LAUSANNE, Switzerland, June 14–Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and his resurgent Watermill Scandic H.B.C. moved into the top 10 on the latest International Equestrian Federation individual rider rankings at the end of May, while the USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel dropped to 11th place.
Edward Gal and Totilas remained at the top of the leaderboard as of May 31, and, the FEI reports, the pair will be dropped from the next standings as German rider Matthias Alexander Rath’s first competitions on the 11-year-old black stallion will be ranked.
The Netherlands’ Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival remained at No. 2 and Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris were at No. 3. Germany’s Isabell Werth again had three horses in the top 10–Warum Nicht FRH at N0. 4, Satchmo 78 at No. 5 and El Santo NRW at No. 9.
Patrik and the 12-year-old KWPN stallion broke into the top 10 as of the end of June, 2010, but the horse was not competed throughout the summer and fell in the rankings to as low as 49th by the end of the year.
The latest standings place them 8th.
Steffen Peters and Ravel dropped to 11th place, the first time they have been out of the top 10 since the end of last August.
