OTTAWA, Canada, Dec. 4–Dressage Canada has launched a search for a dressage Technical Leader to identify talented human and equine athletes and create a system to support and complement training and competition goals.

The Dressage Canada Own the Podium Hiring Committee will review the applications and determine which applicants should be interviewed based on their fulfillment of the position requirements. Interviews will be scheduled after Jan. 15, 2010, conducted jointly by the chair of the OTP Hiring Committee; members of the OTP and Christine Peters.
At the conclusion of the interview process the Dressage Canada Athlete Council will have an opportunity to comment and make recommendations on the candidates. Compensation details will be discussed with applicants during the interview process and will be commensurate with an applicant’s experience and accomplishments.

The position is different than Team Technical Coach/Advisor that was filled by Robert Dover for one year until Oct. 15. Robert, a six-time U.S. Olympian, was credited with helping Canada achieve its best ever result at a World Equestrian Games when it finished seventh in the team competition at Kentucky.
