OLDENBURG, Germany, Nov. 14–Sander Marijnissen and Moedwil completed a sweep of the Oldenburger International Horse Show CDI4* Sunday, squeaking out a win in the Grand Prix Special to repeat their performance from 2008.

The Dutch combination, competing internationally for the first time in more than a year, scored 71.917 per cent over Germany’s Anna-Katharina Lüttgen on Lamborghini in second at 71.708 per cent and Sweden’s Nina Hoffman on Leo af Magnushöf placed third place on 70.250 per cent. The Dutch and German pairs finished first and second, respectively, in the Grand Prix on Saturday.

The last victory for Sander and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding was the Exquis World Dressage Masters Grand Prix Special in Munich in May, 2009 and also won at Munich and Bremen in 2009. Their last international competition before this weekend was at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany in mid-2009.

The two second place finishes were the best show result for Anna-Katharina and Lamborghini, a 10-year-old Holsteiner, since their first international competition in April, 2008.
