
VILHELMSBORG, Denmark, Sept. 13–Dancing Boy by Dancier x Blue Hors Romanov, the Danish Warmblood champion dressage foal, at €21,000 (US$26,900) was the top priced foal at the Elite Foal Auction.
Thirty-four of the 55 foals offered went under the hammer for a total of €262,000 (US$335,700), an average of €7,700 (US$9,870).
Dancing Boy is out of the same dam line as Mistral Hojris on which Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer is ranked third in the world. The foal was sold to Steffen Kristensen, Harlev J in Denmark.
Second highest price was paid for the filly Møllegårdens Kompliment by Jazz x Bøgelys Camaro, sold to Per Skjærbæk, Nykøbing Mors in Denmark for €19,000 (US$24,300).
