LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Aug. 9–The Dutch maintained their domination in the latest International Equestrian Federation world rankings taking five of the top 10 combinations of riders and horses, while Austria’s Victria Max Theurer on Augustin OLD jumped into 10th place from 25.
Victoria and Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer on Mistral Hojris again third place behind Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas and Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival were the only pairs who were not Dutch or German in the Top 10.
Canada’s Ashley Holzer on Pop Art in 18th place was the sole non-European in the top 20, while the American paid Tina Konyot and Calecto V were in 30th place. Steffen Peters and Ravel, who had risen as high as third based on their 2009 World Cup and Aachen CDIO victories, dropped further to 33rd place as they engaged in only alight competition schedule to focus on the forthcoming World Equestrian Games.
