KRONBERG, Germany, July 23–Russia’s Natalia Berezhnaya and Nikita led the European Championship Junior rankings Friday, with the leading German, Dutch and Danish riders still to compete on the second day of competition. Switzerland’s Anne Rita Bertschy on Tenson was leading the Young Rider Division.
Natalia and Nikita were leading the Juniors on 1,272 points with Sweden’s Elin Aspnäs on Donna Romma second on 1,254 and Victoria van den Berghe of France on Scalia in third place on 1,243.
In the Young Rider division, Switzerland’s Anne Rita Bertschy on Tenson received 1,298 points with Belgium’s Saidja Brison and Moliere second on 1,298 points and Artur Alvarez Pou of Spain on Cava Ohio n third place on 1,297 points.
Because of the reverse order of the draw, the German, Dutch and Danish riders who captured team honors are still to compete.
