BAD BERLEBURG, Germany, May 31–Denmark’s Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Alexander Johannsmann, who are expecting their first child in July, were married in a civil ceremony last Thursday.

The wedding took place in the Orangery in the park of the castle in Berleburg. A religious ceremony is planned for 2011.

The wedding was reported to be a small affair of about a dozen guests including parents, family and close friends.

She is a successful international level rider and Denmark is reportedly hoping she will return to competition in time to be on her nation’s team at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky later this year. He works in his uncle’s international horse transport business.
