LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 7–Dutch riders tightened their grip at the top of the world rankings, filling four of the top five positions.
The top three places in the rankings to the end of April again went to Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas, Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival and Anky van Grunsven and Salinero.
Imke Schellekens-Bartels and Hunter Douglas Sunrise moved up to fifth, from eighth, right behind Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris.
Isebell Werth of Germany remained in sixth place on Satchmo, but moved up to seventh place from ninth with Warum Nicht FRH while Anky and IPS Painted Black filled the eighth spot.
The biggest change came from the USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel tumbling to ninth place from fourth. The pair have competed only sparingly so far this year, opting to focus on the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in September.
Germany’s Matthias Alexander Rath and Sterntaler UNICEF rounded out the top 10.
