SYDNEY, Apr. 6–The last opportunity for Australian-based riders to qualify for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky will be the Goldin Grand Prix at the Sydney CDI3* on Friday, Apr. 30.

The top Australian riders will be judged by a panel that includes four “O” level judges–Maribel Alonso of Mexico, Axel Steiner of the USA, Wim Ernes of The Netherlands and Australian Mary Seefried.

Jaybee Alabaster ridden by Sydney 2000 Olympian Rachael Sanna will be one of the favorites. The pair recently won the World Cup Qualifier at Werribee.

The 2008 Olympic Team reserve Rozzie Ryan riding her commanding stallion Jive Magic who placed second to Rachael in Werribee, will also be determined to reverse the order in Sydney. So will her husband, Heath Ryan, on get Regardez Moi.

Australian Champion Brett Parbery and Victory Salute competed at the FEI World Cup Finals in Holland two weeks ago and cannot take part in this year’s event.

The Equestrian NSW Grand Prix (CDN) will be held the morning of Friday, Apr. followed by the CDI Goldin Grand Prix in the afternoon.
