WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 28–A giveaway of $10,000 (€7,160) of Back on Track products will be made to spectators over two nights of the Exquis World Dressage Masters as some of the world’s top riders and horses were arriving for the event.

The giveaway to spectators, a popular feature that was inaugurated at the first WDM Palm Beach in 2009, was announced by Back on Track Chief Executive Officer Bo Lofvander as final arrangements were being completed for up to 20 horse and rider combinations scheduled to compete.

Steffen Peters and Ravel, 2009 World Cup champion, and Leslie Morse and Tip Top arrived from California and Ulla Salzgeber, Olympic gold medalist and multiple World Cup champion, and her mare Wakana and Anja Plönzke and Le Mont d’Or, both from Germany, for the €100,000 (US$140,000) World Dressage Masters entering its second year as the world’s richest lineup of dressage events.

Satchmo and Salinero, the Olympic gold medal horses of Isabell Werth of Germany and Anky van Grunsven of The Netherlands, respectively, were scheduled to arrive over the weekend. Ashley Holzer and Pop Art of Canada, Lauren Sammis and Sagacious HF and several other combinations are already in Wellington for the winter circuit.

The scheduled of events at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center is:

* 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 — Grand Prix  – Prize Money €10,000 (US$14,000);

* 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 — USA vs. Europe rideoff featuring Steffen Peters and Isabell Werth along with equestrian entertainment;

* 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 — Grand Prix Special – Prize Money €30,000 (US$42,000), and

* 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 — Grand Prix Freestyle – Prize Money €60,000 (US$84,000).

WHDT World Sports that covers the major equestrian events from Palm Beach will televise the events in prime time in high definition to an estimated five million residents of South Florida.

“We received so many requests to repeat the giveaway of products that we decided to do it again,” Bo Lofvander said. “As Steffen Peters and other top riders use our products on their horses we wanted to support them and the sport by providing $10,000 worth of products as a ‘thank you’ to the fans who will attend the World Dressage Masters.”

The products will be given away during the Friday and and Saturday night events.

No admission will be charged for the Grand Prix on Thursday and the Grand Prix Special on Saturday.
