MUNICH, Germany, May 7, 2016–Isabell Werth rode her Olympic prospect Emilio to the 10-year-old gelding’s first score above 80 per cent to win the Pferd International CDI5* Grand Prix Special Saturday.
Isabell and Emilio (Ehrenpreis x Cacir AA) scored 80.980 per cent for the win that was the fifth victory in eight starts since beginning CDI Grand Prix last September.
Isabell has said that she will campaign Emilio and Weihegold OLD for a place on Germany’s team for Rio de Janeiro after determining Don Johnson FRH and Bella Rose would not be recover from injuries in time for the Olympics in early August.
Carola Koppelmann of Germany on Deveraux B was second on 74.471 per cent and Switzerland’s Marcela Krinke Susmelj on Smeyers Molberg third on 73.294 per cent.
