LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Sept 12–A series of six two-day high performance observation and strategic planning sessions to prepare United States combinations for the 2014 World Equestrian Games has been scheduled for the East and West Coast from Novermber through April.
Robert Dover, U.S. Dressage Technical Advisor/Chef d’Equipe, will work with athletes and their personal trainer/coach to provide training and strategic guidance for athletes to aid in achieving their international potential and success in the sessions planned by the U.S. Equestrian Federation’s High Performance Committee.
The sessions will range from riding, test riding for competition to work on garnering more points and a strategic session with the athlete, trainer/coach and horse owner.
“I am very excited about the upcoming training sessions on both coasts,” Robert said. “I am hopeful that I will be able to work alongside athletes and their personal trainers to produce the world-class results America is counting on as we head toward the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy.”
The sessions are by invitation only, based on criteria set by the High Performance Committee and focused on athlete/horse combinations with international competition experience and the prospect of contributing to a team or individual medal.
