AMSTERDAM, Jan. 24, 2o26–Charlotte “Lottie” Fry on Glamourdale won the World Cup Freestyle Saturday for the second victory that completes qualification for the reigning champion to go to the Final in Fort Worth, Texas in April.
The British rider and the 15-year-old stallion were awarded 89.305% for the win, a score slightly higher than the 89.170% posted in the London World Cup last month. Two starts in qualifiers earn her the champion’s place in the lineup of 18 combinations for the Final. The pair won their first title in Switzerland last April.
Germany’s Olympic gold medal partnership of Isabell Werth on her Paris 2024 Games mount Wendy de Fontaine was runner-up on 87.580%.
Isabell is scheduled to compete in the Global Dressage Festival World Cup qualifier in Wellington, Florida in just over a month that with a victory in Switzerland earlier this month and Saturday’s results will likely be enough for the world’s most successful equestrian in history to earn a start in Fort Worth.
Her mount in Wellington is expected to be DSP Quantaz, the gelding she competed at the 2025 Final as runner-up to Charlotte and is now 16 years old. Although a rider in the Western European League she can earn full points for her competition in Florida.
Britain’s Becky Moody on her 12-year-old homebred Jagerbomb placed third on 85.310% Saturday that likely clinches the rider a start in Fort Worth.
